JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele) provides specialized care to patients with acute medical conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role involves assessing patient status, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care in a fast-paced telemetry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients with medical and cardiac conditions.
 - Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
 - Recognize and respond to arrhythmias and telemetry alerts.
 - Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
 - Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
 - Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
 - Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
 - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
 
Required Qualifications
- 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience.
 - Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
 - Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
 - Basic Life Support (BLS).
 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
 - Basic arrhythmia recognition skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
