  • JOB SUMMARY
    Seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Travel Medical Surgical position. This role involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, managing a diverse patient caseload, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Assess patient health status, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patient conditions.
    - Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
    - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care.
    - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
    - Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
    - Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
    - Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

    Schedule / Shift
    NIGHTS (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with rotating weekends.

    Required Qualifications
    - Current RN license in the state of practice.
    - Permanent address located at least 50 miles from the facility.

    Certifications
    - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

    Experience
    - Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
    - Experience in a Medical Surgical setting.

    EMR / Systems
    - Experience with electronic charting systems.

    Patient Population
    - Adult and geriatric patients requiring medical and surgical care.

    Unit / Specialty
    - Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

    Floating / On-Call
    - Must be willing to float to other related units as needed.
    - On-call duties may be required.
