Job Summary
The Registered Nurse – ICU provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety. This role involves monitoring critically ill patients, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patients and families during complex medical situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, ventilator settings, and hemodynamic parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in critical care or ICU nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN).
- Prior experience with advanced ICU technologies (ventilators, ECMO, CRRT).
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- CCRN certification (preferred).
