JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of technical procedures to produce and evaluate cross-sectional images and other related diagnostic studies of the human body for the diagnosis of disease and injury. Operates imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities: • Performs CT scans and other imaging procedures as ordered by physicians. • Prepares patients for examinations, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety. • Positions patients appropriately and operates imaging equipment according to established protocols. • Ensures the quality and accuracy of all images produced. • Maintains patient records and documentation. • Adheres to radiation safety standards and infection control policies. • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Schedule / Shift: • 36 weekly hours. • Weekend coverage required. • Holiday coverage required for any holidays falling on regularly scheduled shifts.
On Call Req: • Every 3rd week, Monday-Thursday, 8 PM to 6 AM, as backup personnel.
Required Qualifications: • ARRT(R) certification. • Florida state Radiology license.
Experience: • Previous experience as a CT Technologist. • Experience with multimodality imaging techniques.
Skills: • Proficient in operating CT imaging equipment. • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. • Excellent patient care and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
