  • Job Summary
    The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized care to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves assessing, treating, and monitoring patients while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal respiratory health. The therapist also educates patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions through diagnostic tests and evaluations
    2. Administer treatments such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol medications
    3. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
    4. Operate and maintain equipment including ventilators, monitors, and other respiratory devices
    5. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
    6. Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, equipment use, and lifestyle adjustments
    7. Respond to emergencies such as respiratory distress or cardiac arrest situations
    8. Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment outcomes

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
    2. Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice
    3. Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
    4. Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment and treatment protocols
    5. Excellent communication and patient-care skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Experience in critical care or emergency settings
    2. Familiarity with advanced ventilator management and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care

    Certifications
    1. Respiratory Therapist License – Required
    2. RRT or CRT Certification – Required
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
    4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred
