JOB SUMMARY Seeking a skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer to join our Radiology department. This position will involve performing a variety of ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities - Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols and physician's orders. - Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of various body parts, including breast, vascular, OB-GYN, and general ultrasound. - Recognize and differentiate normal from abnormal findings and document observations. - Perform interventional procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, fine-needle aspirations (FNA), core biopsies, abscess drainages, and thrombin injections. - Assist physicians with procedures in the Operating Room (OR) and other settings. - Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the EMR system. - Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions. - Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. - Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. - Provide compassionate and patient-centered care.

Experience - Minimum of one year of experience in ultrasound with exposure to a wide array of ultrasound types. - Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting. - Experience with general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography. - Experience in the OR and with ultrasound procedures is preferred.
Required Qualifications - Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with the ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings. - Basic scanning skills with a good understanding of sonographic physics and techniques. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to adhere to department policies and protocols.
Certifications - BLS (Basic Life Support) - RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) - NH MIRT Licensure (Massachusetts and New Hampshire general radiology license)

Skills - Proficient in general abdominal, vascular, and OB-GYN ultrasound. - Experience with interventional ultrasound procedures. - Skill in performing procedures in an OR setting. - Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Floating / On-Call - Opportunities for extra shifts within the department. - Potential opportunities in Breast Ultrasound at BCC. - No regular on-call duties, but a call tree may be implemented for critical staffing needs for permanent full-time staff.
