Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role focuses on administering infusion therapies, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other intravenous (IV) medications according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients during infusions, observing for adverse reactions and responding promptly to emergencies.
- Assess patient conditions, document treatments accurately, and maintain comprehensive medical records.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care post-infusion.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe infusion environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with best practices in oncology care.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current State RN license.
Certifications:
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Experience: Prior experience in infusion therapy, oncology, or related clinical settings preferred.
