JOB SUMMARY
Nuclear Medicine Technologists perform diagnostic imaging examinations using radioactive isotopes and tracers to identify and evaluate disease processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including SPECT and PET scanners.
- Position patients and ensure their comfort and safety during scans.
- Acquire and process nuclear medicine images according to established protocols.
- Analyze images for preliminary findings and report to physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Schedule / Shift
Rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities may be required.

Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
- Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Valid state license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, where applicable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology.

Skills
- Proficient in performing various nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
- Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and their administration.
- Familiarity with radiation safety principles and practices.
- Strong diagnostic imaging skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) or equivalent.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
