Job Summary
We are seeking a Surgical Technologist with strong operating room experience to support surgical procedures across multiple specialties. This role involves preparing operating rooms, assisting surgical teams, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and clinical staff during surgical operations across various specialties.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Support procedures including GYN, Spine, Hand, Neuro, Orthopedic, Oncological Breast, and Microvascular surgeries.
- Anticipate surgical team needs and provide instruments and materials efficiently.
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of operating room experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma environment.
- Registration with the state surgical technologist database (DORA) or ability to obtain prior to start.
- Ability to pass background check and complete required registration processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties including GYN, Spine, Neuro, Orthopedic, and Microvascular procedures.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for surgical technologists.
