  • Job Summary:
    The Ultrasound Technologist will perform high-level diagnostic imaging for adult and pediatric patients in a Level 1 hospital setting. 
    This position requires expertise in a variety of specialized ultrasound exams, flexibility in shift scheduling (primarily overnight), and experience with emergent cases. 
    The technologist will utilize ultrasound equipment to assist in diagnosing a wide range of conditions, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure patient care standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform advanced ultrasound imaging, focusing on emergent exams commonly encountered in a Level 1 hospital.
    • Conduct specialized ultrasound exams, including abdominal, Doppler, early OB/transvaginal, scrotal, pediatric, and neonatal imaging.
    • Operate ultrasound equipment for transplant kidney and liver imaging.
    • Perform assessments for specific pediatric conditions, such as intussusception, appendix, pylorus, renal, hips, and spine evaluations.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records in the EPIC EMR system.
    • Communicate findings with healthcare team members to facilitate timely and effective patient care.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Associate’s Degree or Diploma in an accredited Ultrasound program.
    • Minimum of 2years of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a focus on both adult and pediatric cases.
    • Proficiency in EPIC EMR and experience working in a high-acuity hospital setting.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with Level 1 trauma hospital ultrasound imaging
    Certifications:
    • Current ARRT Tech License.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • COVID-19 vaccination required.
