JOB SUMMARY This critical need position is for a Labor & Delivery (LD) Nurse responsible for providing direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The role involves monitoring patients, assisting with childbirth, and ensuring the well-being of both mother and baby.
Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery setting. • Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs and progress of labor. • Assist obstetricians and other healthcare providers during labor and delivery. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Educate patients and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care. • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
Required Qualifications • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience. • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
Certifications • Basic Life Support • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Preferred Qualifications • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field. • Five (5) plus years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last two (2) years) in Labor and Delivery. • One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two (2) years. • High Risk OB experience.
