  • Job Summary
    The Certified RN First Assist (CRNFA) provides advanced perioperative nursing care with a strong focus on neurosurgical procedures. This role requires certification as a First Assist, demonstrated neuro skills, and at least one year of experience assisting in surgical settings. The RNFA collaborates with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assist surgeons during neurosurgical and other operative procedures
    2. Provide perioperative support including patient positioning, exposure, and wound closure
    3. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards
    4. Collaborate with surgical team to optimize patient care and surgical outcomes
    5. Demonstrate neuro expertise in patient assessment and intraoperative support

    Required Qualifications
    1. Minimum 1 year of surgical experience
    2. Strong neuro skills
    3. First Assist certification

    Certifications
    1. Certified RN First Assist (CRNFA) – required
