JOB SUMMARY
Provide direct patient care and assist surgeons during operative procedures. The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is responsible for preparing the operating room, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and ensuring a sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile equipment and supplies.
• Assist surgeons by handing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Maintain sterile fields and operate within aseptic techniques.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Monitor patient status during surgery and report changes to the surgeon.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.

Schedule / Shift
• Variable shifts available, including day, evening, and night.
• Requires flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.

Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Certifications
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile field management.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
