Job Summary
The Temporary Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified healthcare professionals across clinical, allied health, and nonclinical positions. This role supports high-volume recruitment, rapid backfilling, and urgent staffing needs while ensuring all candidate qualifications meet compliance, licensing, and credentialing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for healthcare roles including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, allied health, and administrative positions.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, databases, social media, referrals, and networking.
- Conduct phone screens to assess candidate experience, skills, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and departments.
- Licensing & Credential Verification
- Review required certifications, licenses, and clinical competencies.
- Collaborate with the credentialing team to ensure candidates meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Track expiration dates and ensure compliance documentation is complete.
- Talent Pipeline Management
- Maintain active pipelines for hard-to-fill roles such as nursing, allied health, and specialized clinical positions.
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, professional associations, and talent pools.
- Recruitment Administration
- Update applicant tracking system (ATS) with accurate candidate notes and statuses.
- Create job postings and ensure effective advertisement across platforms.
- Prepare offer letters, negotiate compensation, and initiate onboarding steps.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and timelines.
- Provide weekly recruitment reports including time-to-fill and pipeline updates.
- Support HR with orientation and onboarding tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 1–3+ years of recruitment experience, with healthcare recruitment strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting clinical roles (RN, LPN, CNA, allied health) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of healthcare licensing requirements (RN, NP, PA, PT/OT, etc.).
- Experience working with ATS systems.
- Excellent sourcing skills (LinkedIn, Indeed, resume databases).
- Strong communication and interview skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume recruitment and tight timelines.
- Detail-oriented, especially with credential and compliance tracking.

- Familiarity with credentialing processes and compliance standards.
Certifications (if any)
- Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
