    We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our rapidly growing healthcare team in the Bay Area.     Job Summary:
    The Medical Assistant will perform a range of tasks, including answering telephone calls, relaying messages, verifying patient demographics and insurance information, and scheduling appointments. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will perform back-office duties such as rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing patients’ medical records to assist with patient inquiries. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with a team of healthcare providers in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Answer incoming phone calls and relay messages to appropriate staff members.
    • Verify patients’ demographics and insurance information during each visit.
    • Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment calendars.
    • Room patients and take accurate vital signs.
    • Review and assist with patient inquiries related to their medical records.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
    • Assist healthcare providers with any clinical or administrative tasks as needed.
    • Float between different practice locations as required.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and respond effectively.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
    • Legible handwriting and attention to detail.
    • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding, mouse movement, and data entry into an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
    • 6 months to 1 year of prior experience as a Medical Assistant.
    • Ability to float between different practice sites as needed.

    Certifications:
    • Medical Assistant Certification (preferred, depending on state requirements).
