  • JOB SUMMARY
    The Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) provides professional nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from neonates to geriatrics, in a fast-paced emergency care setting. Utilizing the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) standards, the RN performs assessments, develops and implements care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Triage patients and determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs.
    • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on ongoing assessments.
    • Manage complications and emergencies in accordance with ENA and hospital protocols.
    • Monitor and document patient responses to interventions.
    • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
    • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
    • Participate in scheduled on-call assignments as needed.
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Pennsylvania RN licensure.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency or related acute care settings.
    • Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to function effectively as a team member and liaison between patients and staff.
    • High level of emotional tolerance, professionalism, and sound judgment.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association.
