JOB SUMMARY Seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to work at a leading Children's Hospital.
Key Responsibilities - Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists. - Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other treatment equipment. - Perform quality assurance checks and ensure equipment is functioning properly. - Accurately document patient treatments and progress. - Educate patients and families about treatment procedures and potential side effects. - Collaborate with the oncology team to develop and implement treatment plans.
Schedule / Shift - Weekends: No - On-call: No - Block Schedules: No - Hours Approved: 48 hours not approved.
Required Qualifications - Valid Texas (TX) state license as a Radiation Therapist. - Experience as a Radiation Therapist.
Experience - 20 patients: 1 RT
Certifications - Registered Radiation Therapist (RTT) certification is generally expected.
Skills - Proficient in operating radiation therapy equipment. - Strong understanding of radiation physics and safety protocols. - Excellent patient care and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
