Job Description:
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing advanced care to critically ill patients with life-threatening conditions or multiple comorbidities that require sophisticated organ support and invasive monitoring. This role demands quick decision-making, deep clinical knowledge, and the ability to perform under pressure in a highly challenging environment. The ICU RN will work with a variety of patients, including those recovering from surgery, overdose, trauma, or managing chronic illnesses.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care in Critical Conditions:
- Provide specialized care to patients with life-threatening conditions, requiring invasive monitoring and advanced organ support.
Work with Diverse Patient Needs:
- Manage patients with a range of conditions such as post-surgery recovery, overdose, trauma, and chronic illnesses.
High-Acuity Patient Care:
- Deliver high-level care in a fast-paced and complex environment, where quick thinking and clinical expertise are crucial.
Qualifications:
License/Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
Skills:
- Proficient in computer charting, with experience in EPIC software.
