Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery (LD) Nurse to provide compassionate and skilled care to patients during childbirth. This is a critical need position requiring recent experience in labor and delivery, with responsibilities focused on patient safety, clinical excellence, and support for mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, including vital signs and fetal heart monitoring.
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
- Support physicians and midwives during deliveries and surgical procedures.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Document patient care accurately in medical records.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- 5+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within the last 2 years).
- 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery experience (within the last 2 years).
- High-risk OB experience preferred.
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
