JOB SUMMARY The MRI Technologist operates MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the body for diagnostic purposes as requested by physicians.
Key Responsibilities • Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently. • Ensure patient safety and comfort during the examination. • Operate and maintain MRI scanners and associated equipment. • Prepare patients for MRI scans, including explaining the procedure and answering questions. • Administer contrast media as directed and according to protocol. • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. • Adhere to all safety and infection control standards.
Schedule / Shift Days
Required Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. • Current BLS certification. • State-specific MRI Technologist license or certification, if applicable.
Skills • Proficient in MRI operation and imaging techniques. • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. • Ability to administer contrast media. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
EMR / Systems • Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
