  • Job Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety, comfort, and timely recovery. This role involves monitoring patients' vital signs, providing patient education, and delivering care to ventilator-dependent patients. The Registered Nurse will work closely with the anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensure patient safety and comfort for individuals recovering from anesthesia.
    • Continuously monitor patients' level of consciousness and vital signs during the recovery phase.
    • Provide reassurance and education to patients and their family members about the recovery process.
    • Assess patients' condition, deliver care to ventilator-dependent patients, and monitor post-operative dressings.
    • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and uphold confidentiality of patient information.
    • Follow Infection Control guidelines, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards to ensure a safe healthcare environment.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best care for patients during recovery.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
    • Registered Nurse (RN) license with active licensure in the state(s) where employed and practices.
    • Current BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
    • One or more years of recent experience in a Peri Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or similar recovery setting.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or critical care setting.
    • Strong understanding of post-operative care and anesthesia recovery processes.
    • Excellent communication skills for patient education and family support.
