Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (Operating Room) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety and supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists throughout surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures by anticipating needs and providing instruments.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after surgery.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
- Document patient information, surgical procedures, and post-operative care accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in a hospital or surgical center operating room.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification is a plus.
