  • Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for a 13-week assignment with our client. The technician will play a critical role in preparing operating rooms, assisting surgeons during ophthalmology procedures, and ensuring sterile technique is maintained throughout surgeries.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments prior to procedures.
    2. Assist surgeons during ophthalmology surgeries.
    3. Maintain strict sterile technique throughout all procedures.
    4. Participate in instrument and sponge counts to ensure patient safety.
    5. Handle surgical specimens appropriately and in compliance with protocols.
    6. Assist with operating room setup and cleanup following procedures.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Surgical Technician certification.
    2. Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician program.
    3. Ophthalmology experience.
    4. Strong sterile technique and operating room experience.
    5. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience in short-term or travel assignments.
    2. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Surgical Technician certification (required).
    2. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
