Job Summary
The Team Lead – Record Management will support the day-to-day operations of the Centralized Record Control Center (CRCC) under the direction of the Health Information Management (HIM) Manager. This role involves overseeing special projects, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring efficient record processing for offsite storage at Client . The Team Lead will provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to staff while fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational functions of CRCC special projects in collaboration with management
- Coordinate team resource assignments for CRCC operations
- Facilitate training, provide direction, and mentor staff to ensure performance and professional growth
- Manage daily scheduling and assist with timekeeping, including handling exceptions
- Establish and maintain a positive team culture through leadership and coaching
- Monitor staff performance and provide input to management regarding evaluations and quality of work
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new personnel for special projects
- Provide orientation and training on operational and system policies and procedures
- Collaborate with management to address and mitigate issues impacting unit functions
- Compile, maintain, and distribute operational and project reports on a weekly, monthly, or as needed basis
- Attend scheduled meetings to provide updates and status reports on assigned projects
- Uphold Client values in decision-making, teamwork, and service delivery
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree OR High School Diploma with at least 2 years of healthcare experience
- Minimum of 2 years of directly related HIM operations experience OR 2 years of supervisory experience
- Strong communication and written skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based applications
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business, Management, or a related field
- Experience in multi-site healthcare environments
- Familiarity with project management practices and reporting tools
Certifications (if any)
- No specific certifications required; HIM-related certifications are a plus
