JOB SUMMARY Provides direct nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities - Assess patient health status through comprehensive physical examination and medical history. - Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Monitor patient vital signs and condition, reporting any changes to the physician. - Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. - Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. - Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
Schedule / Shift Weekend, Holiday, and potential shift rotation may be required.
Required Qualifications - Valid RN license in the state of practice. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Registered Nurse degree from an accredited institution.
Experience - Minimum of 1-2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical setting.
Skills - Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. - Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
EMR / Systems - Experience with electronic health record (EHR) charting systems is preferred.
