JOB SUMMARY The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities - Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities. - Perform CT-guided biopsy and drainage procedures. - Operate and process CT systems. - Assist with surgical/sterile procedures and perform studies with or without contrast media. - Utilize knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. - Perform basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
Schedule / Shift Nights, Monday-Thursday, rotating between 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM shifts.
Required Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited AMA school. - Licensed by the state as a general radiographer.
Experience - Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required.
Certifications - ARRT Certification. - CT Certification not required.
Skills - Proficiency in performing all types of CT scans with and without contrast. - Experience with CTA's with 3D reconstruction.
EMR / Systems - Experience with Philips and GE scanners.
