JOB SUMMARY Provides ultrasound imaging services, performing a variety of diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities - Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols and physician orders. - Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images. - Evaluate sonographic images for technical quality, ensuring accuracy and completeness. - Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members. - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety standards. - Document procedures and findings accurately in the EMR system. - Assist with patient preparation and post-procedural care as needed.
Schedule / Shift - 7P - 7A
Required Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. - Minimum 6 months of current Ultrasound Tech experience. - ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification.
Experience - 6+ months of recent Ultrasound Tech experience. - Prior experience working for large trauma facilities preferred.
Skills - Proficient in performing vascular and OB ultrasound studies. - Ability to perform a large variety of studies. - Excellent diagnostic imaging skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
EMR / Systems - Meditech
Patient Population - General adult patient population requiring diagnostic ultrasound imaging.
Unit / Specialty - Ultrasound Unit Radiology
Certifications - ARRT (S) OR ARDMS
Floating / On-Call - May be required to float to other related areas as needed. - On-call duties may be required.
