Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care to individuals in a telemetry unit, ensuring accurate monitoring of patient conditions, administering prescribed treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals for optimal patient care. The position requires flexibility in floating to other locations and weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, monitoring and assessing patients with acute conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding appropriately to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Support and assist with emergencies and rapid response interventions as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and patient care in acute settings
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with healthcare teams, patients, and families
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital setting with diverse patient populations
• BLS and ACLS certifications
Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
