  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse with advanced knowledge in electrophysiology to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity interventional cardiac environment. The role requires both independent work and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide and maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families.
    2. Utilize equipment, supplies, and nursing resources appropriately.
    3. Foster continuity of patient care and efficient use of resources.
    4. Facilitate consistent and efficient communication among staff.
    5. Ensure all documentation and billing requirements are accurately completed.
    6. Educate and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff at all levels.
    7. Maintain adherence to hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies and Radiation Safety protocols.
    8. Participate in research, quality improvement, and other departmental projects.
    9. Stay current with developments and trends in electrophysiology through ongoing education and training.
    10. Assist in the orientation of new employees.
    11. Support the organization’s Mission, Vision, Values, and departmental initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    Education & Licensure
    1. Current State Nursing License required.
    2. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

    Experience
    1. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    2. Advanced knowledge of interventional cardiac procedures and acute cardiac/circulatory/respiratory emergencies preferred.
    3. Advanced skills in assessment and evaluation of chronically ill cardiac patients.

    Certifications
    1. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
    2. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.

    5. Proficiency with computers and cardiac diagnostic and mapping systems.
    6. Flexibility regarding shift coverage and overtime.
    7. Physical ability to lift and position patients and supplies.
    8. Ability to work productively with adult, elderly, and critically ill patients, including during emergency situations.
    9. Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Working Conditions
    1. Fast-paced, high-volume, high-acuity interventional patient care environment.
    2. Physical effort required for lifting and positioning patients and radiographic equipment.
    3. Exposure to radiation during fluoroscopy and digital imaging procedures.
    4. Risk of needle sticks and exposure to blood, waste products, and contagious diseases.
    5. Frequent changes in lighting conditions.
