Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, playing a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet, prepare, and assist patients during medical visits.
- Record and update patient history, vital signs, and other clinical information.
- Support providers during examinations and medical procedures.
- Administer injections or medications under physician direction.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and manage reminders.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Ensure exam rooms are properly cleaned, stocked, and maintained.
- Manage incoming phone calls, messages, and respond to patient inquiries.
- Assist front desk as needed, including insurance verification and check-in/check-out duties.e
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant training program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or equivalent.
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on setting).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Bilingual communication skills (if applicable).
Certifications (if any)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (or required by some employers).
