Job Summary
• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Monitor and assess patients pre- and post-cardiac procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to rhythm changes
• Start and manage IV lines
• Administer cardiac medications and drips
• Care for patients pre- and post-PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
• Document care and update patient records accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and ongoing care
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit
• Experience with telemetry, IV starts, and cardiac drip medications
• Ability to manage high patient ratios and acuity
• Open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates accepted
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous travel nursing experience
Certifications
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support
• NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
