Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses. The LPN will play a vital role in supporting patient health, administering treatments, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols across clinical and long-term care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Support physicians and registered nurses in patient assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
- Document patient information accurately in medical records and electronic health systems.
- Perform wound care, injections, and other clinical procedures as directed.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, treatment plans, and medication usage.
- Assist in coordinating patient care across interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Respond to patient needs promptly and compassionately.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, medical terminology, and patient care standards.
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Compassionate approach to patient care.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Prior experience educating patients and families on health management.
