JOB SUMMARY Provide diagnostic imaging services using computed tomography (CT) technology to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries.
Key Responsibilities • Perform CT scans according to physician's orders and established protocols. • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures. • Administer contrast media as required. • Maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper functioning. • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records. • Adhere to radiation safety standards.
Schedule / Shift • Open to all shift times. • Self-scheduling is available based on seniority. • Block schedule may be accommodated based on unit needs.
Required Qualifications • 1 year of experience as a CT Tech. • First-time travelers are accepted.
Certifications • Basic Life Support (BLS) • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • ARRT Advanced Certification • California State Certification in Radiologic Technology (CRT) • CT Certification
Experience • 1 year of CT imaging experience.
Skills • Proficient in operating CT scanners. • Knowledge of CT protocols and anatomy. • Ability to administer contrast media safely. • Strong patient care and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EMR / Systems • Epic
Patient Population • Adults and potentially pediatric patients, depending on facility scope.
Unit / Specialty • CT Scan
Floating / On-Call • On-call: No Call required. • Floating: No floating between like units.
Weekend REQ • May exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs.
Guaranteed Hours • Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period.
RTO Restrictions • RTO must be included at the time of submission.
