Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The RN will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions, ensuring safe, evidence-based interventions and continuous monitoring. This role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ICU, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist patients with daily living activities and support families with education and counseling.
- Collect and document vital signs, intake/output, and report abnormalities promptly.
- Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions such as cardioversion, defibrillation, and rapid transfusions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Uphold infection control and patient safety standards.
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of critical care procedures and patient monitoring.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Prior experience in Progressive Care or Cardiac units.
- Advanced training in critical care nursing.
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – preferred.
