Job Summary
The Medical-Surgical RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, maintaining accurate patient records, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition pre- and post-surgery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to support patient recovery.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- COVID-19 vaccination card as per facility requirements.
- Proven experience in a medical-surgical nursing environment is preferred.
