Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician ensures seamless coordination of loaner and consignment activity, maintaining accountability for all trays and instruments. This role involves proactive communication with internal teams and external partners, highly organized production management, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards to support surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all loaner and consignment activity, ensuring trays are accounted for and ready when needed.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams and external partners to strengthen relationships and ensure smooth operations.
- Perform hands-on sterile processing tasks, including cleaning, packaging, and preparing instruments for use.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of tray status and processing activities.
- Support production management with data-driven processes to ensure operational precision.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or equivalent).
- Prior experience in hospital or surgical services environment.
Certifications (if any)
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) – preferred.
