Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support seasonal flu clinic operations. The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of care while working within the scope of practice to deliver patient-centered services. This role involves direct patient interaction, effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to compliance, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all client policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Display a professional and supportive demeanor in all interactions.
- Engage in identifying and supporting new process improvements and ideas.
- Use appropriate communication strategies, including chain of command and issue escalation, to ensure effective outcomes.
- Assist in identifying and resolving problems related to patient care and operational flow.
- Mentor and orient colleagues in both skill development and professional behavior.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve patient/member issues.
- Prioritize and delegate work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of patient care activities.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards of practice.
Nursing Process
- Provide patient care services within LVN/LPN scope of practice, considering age-related needs and clinical context.
- Identify and report unusual findings to the Registered Nurse (RN) and provide input for plan of care revisions.
- Follow hospital standards to customize care based on the needs of the specific population served.
Required Qualifications
- License: Current and active LVN or LPN license in the state of practice.
- Experience: Previous clinical or flu clinic experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative care team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience in flu clinics, immunization programs, or outpatient clinical settings.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
Certifications (if any)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or required depending on the state.
