  • JOB SUMMARY
    The Ultrasound Technologist – Radiology/Cardiology is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and general medical conditions. This role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams including echocardiograms, vascular studies, and general abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts imaging
    • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
    • Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings for optimal image quality
    • Collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and support clinical decisions
    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols
    • Assist with scheduling and workflow coordination in the imaging department
    • Provide patient education regarding procedures and follow-up care
    Required Qualifications
    • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
    • Active certification by ARDMS or CCI in relevant specialties (e.g., RDMS, RVT, RCS)
    • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging
    • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in both radiology and cardiology ultrasound procedures
    • Familiarity with PACS and EMR systems (Epic preferred)
    • Additional certifications in echocardiography or vascular technology
    Certifications
    • ARDMS or CCI certification (RDMS, RVT, RCS)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
