  • Job Summary
    The Cath Lab Registered Nurse plays a critical role in supporting advanced cardiovascular procedures by scrubbing, monitoring, and providing direct patient care in a cardiac catheterization lab setting. This position requires experience in structural heart procedures, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and other complex interventions. The RN will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Scrub for all cath lab procedures, including interventional and structural heart cases
    • Monitor pulmonary artery (PA) lines and telemetry throughout procedures
    • Assist in complex cardiovascular interventions:
    • Balloon angioplasty
    • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
    • Stent placement
    • Thrombectomy
    • Impella insertion
    • Rotablator procedures
    • Left and right heart catheterizations
    • Maintain strict aseptic technique and patient safety protocols
    • Operate and troubleshoot procedure-specific equipment
    • Accurately document all procedural activities and patient care events
    • Manage readiness and availability of instruments, equipment, and supplies
    • Provide patient education and post-procedural support

    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 3+ years of recent cath lab RN experience
    • Proficient in scrubbing all procedures, including structural and interventional cases
    • Skilled in PA line monitoring and telemetry
    • Hands-on experience in structural heart procedures and TAVR
    • Open to first-time travel nurses and local applicants

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    Experience with:
    • Circulating and IV starts
    • Administering conscious sedation
    • Advanced procedures including Watchman, septal closure, ablations, coil embolization, and filter placement
    • Strong knowledge of rhythm interpretation and EKG settings

    Certifications (if any)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
    • ARRT Advanced Certification – Preferred
