Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. This position requires a compassionate and clinically skilled nurse to care for patients throughout the childbirth continuum. The RN will work rotating shifts and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in all phases of the childbirth experience, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being, administer medications, and manage complications.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care.
- Document patient care using Epic EMR system.
- Adhere to established protocols and comply with all health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Active State RN License (unrestricted).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
- Minimum 1 year of LDRP and postpartum nursing experience.
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience in rural or community hospital settings.
- Additional certifications in maternal-child health or obstetrics.
