Summary:
The Surgical Assistant supports surgeons during procedures, ensuring efficiency, safety, and precision within the operative field. This role requires advanced technical skills, anatomical knowledge, and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by identifying anatomy and providing necessary instruments or assistance.
• Maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment, adhering to sterile techniques and protocols.
• Demonstrate technical competence and proficiency for assigned surgical cases.
• Work collaboratively under the supervision of the Surgical Assistants' manager.
• Maintain positive customer relations, including effective communication with the surgical team.
• Stand for extended periods while performing detailed tasks requiring excellent eye-hand coordination.
• Use sound judgment and apply scientific principles to ensure patient safety and surgical success.

Requirements:

• Education:

  • 2 years of college or specialized education in surgical assisting.

• Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Strong technical abilities and fine motor skills.
  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and ability to focus for prolonged durations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
