  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Oncology team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with cancer and other complex medical conditions. This role involves coordinating care plans, administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and oncology protocols.
    2. Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
    3. Monitor and document patient responses, vital signs, and changes in condition.
    4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    5. Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
    6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
    7. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
    8. Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
    3. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or oncology nursing setting.
    4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred if not already required.
    2. Experience in chemotherapy administration and management of oncology patients.
    3. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
    3. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) credential is a plus.
