JOB SUMMARY Provide direct nursing care to neonates requiring specialized attention within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established standards.
Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates ranging from stable feeder growers to critical level 3 patients. - Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed. - Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment specific to NICU care. - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans. - Educate and support families through the NICU experience. - Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record.
Schedule / Shift - Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Weekend Rotation - Block Scheduling available
Required Qualifications - Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN. - Experience with NICU level 3 patients.
Certifications - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Stabilization of Infants in Transition - Elementary, Learning, And Education (STABLE)
Experience - 2 years of NICU RN experience. - Experience caring for a variety of NICU patients, from stable feeder growers to critical level 3 patients.

Patient Ratio - 1:1 to 1:3
Floating / On-Call - Floating required to assist in other areas; will not take assignment in other units without appropriate competency and orientation. - No call requirements.
