Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care to join our healthcare team. The RN will provide specialized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, ensuring proper assessment, treatment, and education. This role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote healing and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized wound care treatment plans.
- Perform wound care procedures including cleaning, dressing changes, debridement, and application of advanced therapies.
- Monitor wound healing progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on wound prevention, care techniques, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and patient education.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of wound care practices, infection control, and patient education.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in wound care or a specialized wound care unit.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience with advanced wound care therapies and technologies.
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Wound Care Certification (WCC), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), or equivalent (preferred).
