  • JOB SUMMARY
    The Food Service Attendant - Catering will organize, set up, and deliver requested catering services to designated locations or conference rooms. This role provides prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers, ensuring their expectations are exceeded. Responsibilities include preparing food and beverage items, coordinating catering logistics, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and supporting additional food service operations as needed.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Review catering orders daily to confirm services, food items, dates, and times
    • Prepare coffee, beverages, salads, sandwiches, box meals, and other catering items
    • Organize deliveries and set up non-perishable items in advance
    • Coordinate food preparation requirements with appropriate departments
    • Deliver food and beverages to designated locations; set up in a professional and organized manner
    • Ensure condiments and service ware are available; clean up services after meetings or events
    • Arrange specialty linen, china, and rental needs in advance
    • Maintain organization of daily and weekly services and communicate with customers
    • Complete catering order information for billing purposes
    • Serve as point of contact for customers, booking catering, answering questions, and planning future services
    • Assist with stocking food inventory and distributing supplies/equipment
    • Support food preparation and proper food storage
    • Respond to customer complaints regarding food or service
    • Clean catering equipment after service; use appropriate serving utensils and portion control
    • Operate dish machines, pot sinks, and sanitation stations; record and monitor temperatures
    • Follow proper cleaning, sanitizing, and storage procedures for pots and utensils
    • Maintain sanitation practices, including chemical use, mopping, trash removal, and cardboard disposal
    • Comply with Client's safety requirements, State Board of Health, and regulatory standards
    • Follow infection prevention procedures: maintain food temperatures, prevent cross-contamination, label and rotate stock, wear gloves/protective clothing
    • Demonstrate Client's Core Values (Excellence and Love) in all tasks
    • Interact with patients, families, staff, and physicians with empathy, sensitivity, and respect
    • Report unsafe activities, hazards, or violations promptly
    • Support cafeteria services or patient services dish room operations as needed
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    Required Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service with strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching
    • Knowledge of basic food service equipment operation and sanitation practices
    • Ability to work independently and flexibly to complete tasks
    • Commitment to safety, infection prevention, and compliance with health regulations
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior catering, food service, or hospitality experience
    • Familiarity with dishwashing equipment, sanitation procedures, and food safety standards
