  • JOB TITLE
    MRI Technician

    JOB SUMMARY
    Seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technician to join our healthcare team. The MRI Technician will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients. This role requires a strong understanding of MRI physics, patient care, and safety protocols to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Operate MRI scanners to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging examinations.
    - Position patients correctly for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
    - Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and alleviate concerns.
    - Administer contrast agents as prescribed by a physician, adhering to safety protocols.
    - Monitor patients during scans for any adverse reactions.
    - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
    - Ensure the MRI scanner and surrounding environment are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
    - Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
    - Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control policies.

    Required Qualifications
    - Graduation from an accredited radiography program.
    - Valid ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
    - State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (if applicable).
    - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Experience
    - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.

    Skills
    - Proficiency in operating various MRI equipment and technologies.
    - Strong knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, and cross-sectional imaging.
    - Excellent patient care and communication skills.
    - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

    Certifications
    - ARRT (R)(MR)
    - BLS

    EMR / Systems
    - Experience with PACS and RIS systems.

    Patient Population
    - Adults and potentially pediatric patients, depending on facility.

    Unit / Specialty
    - Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging

    Schedule / Shift
    - To be discussed.

    Floating / On-Call
    - May be required to float between departments or facilities as needed.
    - On-call duties may be required.
