Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY
    We are seeking a qualified and experienced CT Technologist to join our team. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic CT scans, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate patient records.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform CT scans according to physician's orders and established protocols.
    • Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures.
    • Administer contrast media as required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
    • Operate and maintain CT scanner equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
    • Accurately document patient information, procedures, and findings in the EMR system.
    • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
    • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    Schedule / Shift
    • Weekends are required, including one Saturday overnight shift.

    Required Qualifications
    • Must have direct patient care experience within the last year.
    • Must have hospital experience in an acute care setting.
    • Must have previous travel experience.
    • Must have experience with GE Scanners.
    • Must have experience functioning at a Level 3 trauma facility or higher.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in a short-term acute care facility.

    Certifications
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in CT.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

    Experience
    • Requires a minimum amount of direct patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting.
    • Requires documented experience as a CT Technologist.
    • Requires prior travel experience.

    Skills
    • Proficient in performing CT imaging procedures.
    • Knowledge of CT scanner operation and maintenance.
    • Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
    • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to protocols.

    Patient Population
    • Adult, Geriatric, Adolescent, Pediatric.

    Unit / Specialty
    • CT Scan

    Floating / On-Call
    • Will not float between units.
    • On-call is not required.

    Additional Requirements
    • While specific patient ratios are not stated, a 1:1 ratio is expected during patient encounters.
    • Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds.
    • Parking is available at no cost.
