  • Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced RN - Infection Prevention Coordinator to lead and manage infection prevention and control initiatives within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, reduce healthcare-associated infections, and promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Develop, implement, and oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
    2. Conduct surveillance, investigation, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
    3. Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and Joint Commission infection control standards.
    4. Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation protocols.
    5. Investigate infection outbreaks and perform root cause analyses.
    6. Collect, analyze, and report infection-related data to leadership and regulatory agencies.
    7. Collaborate with clinical teams, quality improvement, and environmental services to reduce infection risks.
    8. Maintain documentation and prepare for audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
    2. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    3. Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
    4. Must have 2+ years of experience in infection prevention, infection control, or a related healthcare role within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Experience in a hospital or large healthcare system.
    2. Strong knowledge of epidemiology and infection prevention best practices.
    3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) (required).
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
