  • Job Summary:
    Candidates need to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. Being compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession. The ideal candidate goes a step further by being a critical thinker and fast to act in emergencies.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Administer radiation therapy treatments, including positioning patients and adjusting machinery to ensure proper treatment is received.
    • Monitor patients’ health during treatment to ensure they are responding well to treatment and to identify any adverse reactions to treatment.
    • Take and record X-rays of patients’ bodies to determine the location of tumors for radiation treatment planning.
    • Collect data about each patient’s condition and treatment progress, which may be used to develop new treatments or improve existing ones.
    • Educate patients about their treatment options and recovery time frames.
    • Provide emotional support to patients who are receiving treatment for cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.
    • Supervise technicians who assist with administering treatments.
    • Report any safety concerns to the appropriate staff member.
    • Explain the effects of radiation treatment to patients in terms of its impact on their health and wellbeing.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Diploma or associate degree in nursing.
    • BLS from AHA.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • At least 2 years of experience.
