  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse (PICU) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This role requires advanced clinical skills, strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
    2. Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
    3. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical standards.
    4. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
    5. Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment used in the PICU.
    6. Educate and support patients’ families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and ongoing care needs.
    7. Maintain strict adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection-control standards.
    8. Respond promptly to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions.
    9. Participate in unit meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
    3. Ability to commit to scheduled monthly shifts.
    4. Participation in mandatory orientation.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience in a tertiary care or teaching hospital setting.
    2. Advanced training in pediatric critical care.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    2. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.

    Note - This is a per Diem Position
